Jaxs Fish ‘n’ chips

Purpose: Thank you note

Dear Jax

Thank you for coming to rangikura school to share your opera show.

My favorite part was when the Salesman handed out the cards to the audience.

So the salsm  sang  a song so Nemo could get advice for it and he did, so he ask the sale men for a position it was called the elixir of love.  I really liked the handshake because it was cool, and I want to learn how to do it so i can do it to my friends.

I would really love you to come back so you can teach me how to do your handshake because i loved it.

Your Sincerely

Whanaungatanga - All About Me

This is my art, If you can see their is my work that I have done in the past 9 weeks and here's my work. This is my whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga, Identity, korus, Mihi and my photo . What whanaungatanga means is a sense of belonging to a group,  including your friends too. Manaakitanga means caring, partnership, and it also means what it means to you.

The yellow peace  art is my face, I had to cut the other peace of my face out and glue it in my Topic book cause its my drifart. When I have done that, I had to draw another face of me,on  my left  side of the paper and colour it in.

Down bottom where it says Nav is my korus, It presents my   family, so my Mum, Dad, sister, brother and me. If you can see on the right is  my mum, and on the left is my dad,  now in the middle is my brother, sister and me.

Ride at the top is my identity. It shows my culture and the Cook island flag. Its who you are. Sence I have done all those I glue them on a big peace of black paper.

please leave a comment and thanks for reading this.

How To Weave A Box

Easy Blog Photo

Look what team Respect  has done, we have weaved a box using our clear Instructions from our reading literacy book. First i am going to tell you the equipment you need so here it is,

paper
sisors
ruler
cellortape
pen/pencil
Now moving on to the steps.

1. Garther all your equipment so you are ready to start.

2. Measure 10 strips of paper, 1 cm wide and 30 cm long.

3. Then you cut out the 10 strips of your paper.

4. After that you put your 5 paper on the ground neatly and get your other 5 and go up and down and keep
on doing it when you have got to the end.

5. once you have done step 4 you push them together so it looks like a box in the middle.

6.  When you have done step 5 you place the cellotape in the middle so it dose not mark it up, and you don't
have to do it again

7. Then you fold the 4 sides and put something on so it stays flat.

8. Then you take your thing off and measure the out side so you can put like step 4 but your 4 sides are up.

9. you have to cut out another 5 strips for your 4 sides. For this one you would need a buddy to help you to
do the cellortape.

10. About the cellortape you need to cellortape the paper so it stays in place
.
11. then repeat 12, 13 for the rimmaing strips.

12. When you have cellortaped the crones  it would look like this [ the picture down bottom.]

Harakeke

Here is some information about harakeke, which is also known as flax.  Flax can be found in gardens.  If you  want to use flax you will need to say a karakia/prayer first.  You can’t cut it when it’s raining and you can’t cut the flower when it’s flowering.  If you want to cut the harakeke you need to cut the outside, because  in the middle is the rito (baby), Mother and Dad (so the two  names are the same, awhi rito) then all of the  grandparents, so you need to be responsible and not cut the middle.  They are all protecting and giving us themselves because they're being nice and letting us have them,so that means the outside is doing the same as the  inside. So you only cut those ones that are outside,  because  it means  alot to the baby.
